About Sawadee Build: Corporate Volunteering Opportunities
Designed specifically for corporate and adult-only teams, Sawadee Build is a perfect addition to companies looking to add a meaningful corporate social responsibility and team-bonding activity to their overseas retreats or regional meetings in Thailand, or even just as an add-on to any group travel.
Sawadee Builds take teams to build sites on the outskirts of tourist towns around Thailand like Krabi, Chiangmai, Phuket, Pathum Thani near Bangkok, and many more. Teams can decide on a build experience ranging from 1 to 2 days. All volunteer members for Sawadee Build teams have to be at least 21 years old and medically fit.
Teams will need to arrange for their own return flights, accommodation and other non-build related in-country arrangements while in Thailand. The Sawadee Build is best conceived of as an add-on program to the team’s itinerary.

What To Expect:
Build Trip Information

Sawadee Build trips are 1-2 days long.

Build destinations available for Sawadee builds:

Ayutthaya, Chiangmai, Krabi, Phatum Thani, Phuket

Team size is minimum 15 volunteers.

Minimum age for volunteers is 21 years old on the date of the build trip.

Volunteers must be reasonably fit with no serious injuries or medical conditions.

Every team will have a Habitat host coordinator in the country they travel to as their on-site liaison.

No prior building experience is required. Volunteers will be trained & supervised by locally employed construction supervisors and Habitat staff.

Depending on availability & duration of the trip, teams may be involved in the following work:

House-building for Habitat homeowner families

Community Development Projects e.g. painting schools or building an extra room for a hospital or library

Volunteers are responsible for arranging their own flights, hotel accommodation & visa documents (if required).

What Habitat will arrange: local transport to build site, build site meals, accident/illness insurance and volunteer welfare logistics like tentage & water.
Trip Cost: 3 Main Components

Team Contribution/Donation: $450-$800 per pax (depending on trip length)

Supports Habitat's house-building programme like the cost of construction materials & programme coordination like assessing potential homeowners, hiring local construction supervisors etc.

In-country expenses: varies with travel season, team size & length of trip

Includes meals, local transport, volunteer welfare logistics
3. Flights: to be booked by volunteers

While most teams cover the cost of the trip on their own, volunteers are also welcome to set up fundraising campaigns on our Give Asia portal.

For Individuals - Lead your own team (adults only)

As team leader, you'll get to decide the location & date of your build trip.
