What It's All About
Bringing warmth & comfort into the homes of people who need it most.
Amidst this COVID-19 pandemic, coming together to volunteer may not be possible, but that does not mean we can’t find other ways to collaborate together as a Habitat community to bring comfort and love into homes of vulnerable families.
Sew Much Love is a new, all-year-long initiative by Habitat Singapore to co-create Agape Blankets with our supporters, for low-income families sheltering against colder seasons around the region or vulnerable seniors in Singapore feeling the strain of social isolation.
There is no purer expression of love than Agape love - selfless, all-giving & unconditional. With our Agape Blankets, we can bring warmth, comfort and hope through this practical and heartfelt gift.
Sew Much Love Community Impact
How It Works
Make a small donation to receive & decorate a fabric square with well-wishes, a drawing or hand-sewn embroidery - depending on your creative skill level!
Habitat will collect all digital designs & transfer it to our quilt patches. These will be handed over to our talented sewing volunteers to transform into a one-of-a-kind Agape Blanket.
Completed Agape Blankets will be sent to vulnerable families around the region from Singapore to Nepal and Indonesia.

Home-based activity for individuals
Send a message of love to families and seniors feeling the strain of isolation in Singapore and around the world - from the comfort of your own home.
Use tools readily available to you at home to design your own quilt patch that will be sewn into a one-of-a-kind quilt.
How To Get Started:

Make a $20 donation that will go towards funding Project HomeWorks on our donation portal

Receive our email with instructions and design template

Choose your method of designing:

Save or take a photo of your design

Email it to us at events@habitat.org.sg

Your design will be transferred onto a quilt patch that will be sewn into a quilt

Receive an email update from us when your quilt is completed and has reached a family or senior in need.
*$20 will be counted as a donation & eligible for 250% tax deduction.
Corporate Group Activity
We have a special sponsorship opportunity for corporate organisations who wish to take part. Our team will even go down to our office to set up a booth and facilitate the entire decorating process. We can reserve a square for your corporate logo and will also send you a completion report once the blanket reaches our homeowner.

If you are looking for a way to use your sewing skills for good, this is your perfect chance to be a blessing. We are recruiting Sew Much Love Volunteer Quilters to help sew Agape Blankets for our homeowners!
Please note that volunteers will have to own a sewing machine, and training on how to sew the blankets will be provided. Projects are on an ad-hoc basis.
